— good questions

The things clients ask first.

If your question isn't here, the studio answers email within two working days.

How long does a commission take?
Made-to-measure garments run 4 – 8 weeks from first fitting. Curtains and blinds are 3 – 6 weeks from site measure. Office schemes are 6 – 10 weeks, and hotel programmes start at 12 weeks depending on volume.
How many fittings should I expect?
A garment usually needs three appointments: measuring, a toile fitting, and a final fitting. Complex pieces such as bridal or tailored coats may add one more. Interior work needs a site measure and an install visit.
What deposit do you take?
Fifty percent on acceptance of the estimate, which covers fabric and cutting. The balance is due on completion, before installation or collection.
Can I supply my own fabric?
Yes, on garments and most home textiles. We ask to see and handle the cloth first, and we cannot warranty performance on client-supplied fabric. Contract projects must use fabric that meets fire and rub-test standards.
Where do you source fabric?
Mainly European mills — Irish and Belgian linens, British wools, Italian silks — plus a small number of contract-grade suppliers for hospitality and office work. Swatches are posted before anything is cut.
Do you offer alterations later?
Lifetime alterations are included on every garment we make, for as long as you own it. Curtains can be re-headed, shortened or relined at any point.
Do you ship, and do you travel?
Finished garments and soft furnishings ship worldwide, insured. Site measures and installations are covered within the region as standard; travel further afield is quoted per project.
Where is the studio?
The atelier is by appointment only, so the cutting table is clear when you arrive. The address is shared on your booking confirmation.
